Cabinet Repair & Restoration
The small jobs most shops will not return your call about.

Sagging doors, blown hinges, water-swollen bases, broken glides. The small jobs most shops will not take.

Most cabinet shops want a whole kitchen or nothing, which is why a homeowner with four sagging doors and a drawer that will not close ends up living with it for three years. We take those jobs. They are usually a morning of work and they make the kitchen feel five years younger.

Water damage is the South Florida special. A slow supply-line drip under the sink swells a particleboard base from the inside and the first sign is usually a floor that feels soft. Caught early it is a base replacement; caught late it is a run replacement, and sometimes a floor.

How it goes

From the first visit to the punch list.

Seven steps, in order, every time. You always know which one you are in.

Step 01

The first visit

Vincent comes out, measures the room, and looks at what you already have. If your boxes are worth keeping he will tell you so, even though refacing is the smaller job. You get a straight read on what the space can do.

Step 02

Design and drawings

We draw the room in 3D — elevations you can actually read, not a rendering with fake pendant lights. You see cabinet heights, drawer configurations, and where every filler lands before anything is ordered.

Step 03

Materials in your light

Door samples, finish samples, and hardware come to your house. Showroom lighting lies. A white that looks warm in the showroom can read grey under your north-facing window, and you should find that out now.

Step 04

A real calendar

At contract you get dates, not a range — order date, expected delivery, install week, template day, countertop install. If a supplier slips, you hear it from us in writing the day we hear it.

Questions

Cabinet Repair & Restoration — the questions we get most.

Is there a minimum job size?
No. If it is a single sticking door we will still come look. We batch small repairs by area to keep the trip efficient, so a small job may be scheduled for a specific day of the week rather than the next available slot.
Can you match my existing finish for a replacement door?
On a factory finish under about fifteen years old, usually yes. On aged and sun-faded wood it is harder, because we are matching the wood as it is today, not as it was made. We make a sample and let you hold it against the run in your own light before committing.
My cabinet base is swollen from a leak. Do I need a whole new kitchen?
Almost never. Damage is usually confined to the sink base and its neighbors. We replace the affected boxes, match the doors, and the repair disappears into the run. The important part is fixing the leak first, which we will confirm before we rebuild anything.
