Countertops
Templated by the people who set the cabinets.

Quartz, granite, porcelain, and quartzite — templated, fabricated, and installed as part of the same contract.

Countertops are where cabinet projects most often lose a week. The template cannot happen until the boxes are set and level, fabrication takes ten to fourteen days after that, and if the template was taken against a run that was not truly level, the seams show it.

Because we set the cabinets, we control the condition the template is taken against. We also walk the slab with you at the yard, because a photo of a slab and the actual slab are frequently two different products, particularly with natural stone.

How it goes

From the first visit to the punch list.

Seven steps, in order, every time. You always know which one you are in.

Step 01

The first visit

Vincent comes out, measures the room, and looks at what you already have. If your boxes are worth keeping he will tell you so, even though refacing is the smaller job. You get a straight read on what the space can do.

Step 02

Design and drawings

We draw the room in 3D — elevations you can actually read, not a rendering with fake pendant lights. You see cabinet heights, drawer configurations, and where every filler lands before anything is ordered.

Step 03

Materials in your light

Door samples, finish samples, and hardware come to your house. Showroom lighting lies. A white that looks warm in the showroom can read grey under your north-facing window, and you should find that out now.

Step 04

A real calendar

At contract you get dates, not a range — order date, expected delivery, install week, template day, countertop install. If a supplier slips, you hear it from us in writing the day we hear it.

Questions

Countertops — the questions we get most.

Quartz or granite for a South Florida kitchen?
Quartz for most people — it is non-porous, needs no sealing, and is consistent from slab to slab. Granite if you want natural variation and are willing to seal it periodically. For an outdoor kitchen, neither: UV degrades quartz resin, so go porcelain or granite outside.
Why does the countertop take two weeks after the cabinets go in?
Because it cannot be templated until the cabinets are set and level, and fabrication is a real manufacturing process on a real queue. Anyone promising template-to-install in three days is either holding remnant stock or cutting a corner you will see at the seams.
Can I put a seam anywhere I want?
Not anywhere, but you get a say. Seams need support and they cannot land in the middle of a cutout. We show you the proposed seam layout on the slab photos before fabrication so there are no surprises on install day.

Ready to talk about countertops?

Vincent does the first visit himself. He measures, he looks at what you already have, and he tells you straight what the room can do — including when the answer is less work than you expected. No charge for that visit.
