Wet Bars & Wine Rooms
Built around the equipment, not squeezed in beside it.

Bars, butler's pantries, and climate-controlled wine walls with the millwork built around the equipment.

A wine wall is a refrigeration project with cabinetry attached, and the mistake is treating it the other way around. Cooling units need clearance, exhaust paths, and a way to be serviced without dismantling the millwork around them. We design that in from the drawing stage.

Bars are more forgiving and more fun. Backlit shelving, mirrored backs, glass racks, an undercounter ice maker, and the right depth so a bottle actually stands up behind the counter.

How it goes

From the first visit to the punch list.

Seven steps, in order, every time. You always know which one you are in.

Step 01

The first visit

Vincent comes out, measures the room, and looks at what you already have. If your boxes are worth keeping he will tell you so, even though refacing is the smaller job. You get a straight read on what the space can do.

Step 02

Design and drawings

We draw the room in 3D — elevations you can actually read, not a rendering with fake pendant lights. You see cabinet heights, drawer configurations, and where every filler lands before anything is ordered.

Step 03

Materials in your light

Door samples, finish samples, and hardware come to your house. Showroom lighting lies. A white that looks warm in the showroom can read grey under your north-facing window, and you should find that out now.

Step 04

A real calendar

At contract you get dates, not a range — order date, expected delivery, install week, template day, countertop install. If a supplier slips, you hear it from us in writing the day we hear it.

Questions

Wet Bars & Wine Rooms — the questions we get most.

Does a wine room need to be a sealed room?
If it is climate controlled, yes — insulated walls, a vapor barrier, and a sealed door. Without that, the cooling unit runs constantly, dies early, and your electric bill tells the story. A display wall that is not climate controlled has no such requirement.
How cold should a wine wall be?
Around 55 degrees for long-term storage, with humidity in the 55 to 70 percent range. Dual-zone units let you hold reds and whites at different service temperatures, which matters more if you are drinking the collection than storing it.
Can you build a bar into an existing living room?
Usually yes. The constraints are getting water and drainage to the location if you want a sink, and a dedicated circuit for refrigeration. A dry bar with no plumbing can go almost anywhere and is a common first step.
